The Challenge will be a 6-hour timed event that includes both individual and relay options. The goal is to get in as many laps as you can in under 6 hours. The race starts at 10:00 am and ends at 4:00 pm. Riders will be notified at 3:15 pm that their race is likely over, but will be allowed to continue. Riders coming in after 4:00 pm will be given a finish time of their previously completed lap. The start finish line will be in the Airplane field at main trailhead (siloh).  The course will be 1 complete lap of Lock 4’s mtb trails. The lap has 450 ft of climbing, and is dominantly rolling flowing single track.

The Start At 9:30 am, the bicycle staging area will be open to place your bikes in horizontal rows alongside the lake. At 9:45 there will be a quick pre-race meeting and line-up for the Lemans Style start, which will be a 100 yard dash to your bicycle. Once on the bike, you'll ride through chicanes, then into wooded trail.  After completing west side loop, you will make a full out and back loop through the peninsula and back to the east side jeep road.

Relay guidelines  Relays should tag at the Start/Finish Line. Your team should all have the same number.

Primitive Camping will be allowed in designated areas on the peninsula. For the safety of the riders, cars will be allowed to travel to the peninsula only before 9:30 am to drop off pit area supplies. Please park only in the Airplane field during the event. The road will re-open after 5:30 pm for overnight parking or pick up. Motor homes will be allowed on the peninsula, in approved parking spaces only. Please call the race director before arrival.
